January 2025

Improvements

  • Updated audio player: we moved the separate 'show transcript' button directly into the audio player, and added an auto-play option to the settings for each tour

  • Centralized tools menu: as we've added more tools, we've added more buttons to the CMS navigation. It's become cluttered, so we put all of them into one place: Tools

  • Group tours on the home page: organize your tours by topic, age level, or anything else you want.

  • Quiz block: Add multi-question quizzes with up to 10 questions total. See a score at the end, and restart to take the quiz again

  • Create text transcriptions from your audio, in any language. Just select a tour, select your stops, click Generate, and wait.

Fixes

  • Fixed aviation preset not rendering on stop pages

  • Stops or exhibits language in navigation menu and tour listing is now configurable per tour

  • Fixed 'show brand icon' on home page not showing

  • Added art exhibition preset template

  • Modernized the interface for the text to speech tool to bring it in line with the transcribe tool

November 2025

Added

  • Gate keep tours with access codes. Enable gatekeeping from the settings when editing a tour, then enter your access codes. With access codes, you can sell tours via any POS system, restrict certain tours to members, or on-site visitors via signage. And, you can hide tours from search engines and public view with the Hide toggle.

Improved

  • The stops menu now indicates the current stop with an icon, and includes a progress bar for a measurable sense of tour completion.  It has a cleaner, more accessible design with improved keyboard navigation and RTL language support.

Fixes

  • Tour ratings now use a five-point star system instead of thumbs-up and thumbs-down. Your existing ratings transfer over to the new metrics.

  • Color contrast now automatically adjusts on custom tour themes

  • Map app setting in Settings menu now updates the get directions button

  • Fixed spacing between get directions button and start of page text

  • All content blocks and orienteering notes are localizable across languages

  • Biking directions no longer break the map

  • Edit bar action menu is collapsible, so it doesn’t get in the way

  • Object block now includes tap to zoom on images

September 2025

We updated our QR code and Exhibit Label generator, improved route maps, and fixed several issues.

Improvements

  • QR code generator is easier to use, and shows a preview as you make changes. Exhibit labels and social posts are more customizable

  • Route maps show a line connecting the stops, and provide turn-by-turn directions in the app

Fixes

  • Tour attributes are now isolated, so things like distance and duration won't cache when viewing one tour and unexpectedly appear on another one.

  • Tour attributes: distance now calculates correctly for more than 25 stops.

  • Top and bottom navigation bars no longer overlap the browser UI when tours use custom themes.

  • The browser theme color will reflect custom theme colors instead of the brand color, when applicable.

  • Tap to zoom is fixed for multiple image galleries.

  • Site switcher now correctly works with all available languages.

  • When a tour is completed, the listing page indicates that.

  • User poll duplicate submissions are fixed.
