Tourient meets all of the requirements to comply with PECR. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) is a set of rules in the United Kingdom (UK) that governs the use of electronic communications, such as emails, text messages, and cookies on websites.
We don't use cookies.
PECR requires transparent cookie usage. Tourient complies with this requirement by not using cookies, period.
Consent-first design
Before taking an action, we ask for the user's consent. For example, instead of redirecting a visitor to a specific website after completing a tour, we present a button that invites them to visit that site. This complies with both GDPR and PECR.
We use secure methods to transfer personal data
We do not collect personal data on end users of Tourient, but do collect some personal data on subscribers such as name, email address, IP address. Our payment processor, Stripe, collects and handles payment card information. Our privacy notices are clearly available in the footer of this website.
In the event of a data breach, all affected users will be notified within 24 hours.
Easy opt-out and cancellation
Cancelling a Tourient subscription is as easy as visiting your billing portal, and clicking Cancel. We do not send direct marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted-in.
