List of Image Ratios and Minimum Dimensions

Last updated: August 2026

Enlarged versions of images maintain the dimensions that you upload. Cropped images use ratios rather than specific pixel dimensions. These ratios are used to generate images in multiple dimensions for various screen sizes. Below are recommended minimum dimensions for various image ratios.

Tip: select a focal point for images

In asset settings, you can choose the focal point of cropped images. To do this:

  1. Click on an image in the CMS

  2. Look for the Focal Point button, and click that. A modal appears with a dot and many examples of how an image with that focal point may be cropped.

  3. Click around the modal to move the dot or focal point. As you do, the example cropped images adjust to accommodate that change. When you arrive at one you like, click Finish, then save your changes to the image.
