Using Offline Mode

Offline mode is opt-in for your visitors.

Note: Analytics data will only sync up if the user reconnects to WiFi or cellular data while still viewing your Tourient tour. Not all features work in offline mode.

  1. Open Settings menu

  2. Scroll down to Offline Mode section

  3. Tap or click Download Files. A progress bar appears.

  4. Wait for files to download

  5. Close settings menu

  6. Go offline

  7. Browse stops, play audio, view images, etc.

Offline Mode Limitations

Polls and other interactive components will not fetch remote data when offline, but they will record user input. This input data may not sync with the analytics platform if a user disconnects from the site before their data connection is restored.

Some images are dynamically sized, with variable heights and widths depending on the content of the image. Because we don’t know their specific dimensions in advance, we can’t generate a static version that can be downloaded and used in offline mode, so dynamic images will not work.

Examples of dynamic images:

  • Full-size image is enabled in settings

  • Building map floor plan images

  • The expanded version of some gallery images
