Media (accessed in the left-hand sidebar) stores images, audio, PDFs, and other files you have uploaded to your tours and tour stops.

It is important to keep your media files organized in folders, and to name your files with a logical and cohesive naming convention. Files that are organized and well-named load faster, are easier to locate, and help to make your site more accessible.

Some tips for keeping your files organized:

  • Create a folder for each tour.

  • Store images, pdfs, and other files for that stop in the folder.

  • Establish naming conventions for your files, rather than having tens or hundreds of files named screenshot followed by a series of numbers.

Creating a Folder

  1. Access your Media from the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Click Create Folder to the right of the search box.

  3. Enter a name for the folder, then click Confirm.

Moving a File

Files and folders can be moved to improve organization.

  1. To move a file or folder, click the three horizontal dots (...) to the right of a file or folder.

  2. Click Move in the context menu that appears.

  3. In the dialog that appears, choose which folder you want to move the selected file or folder into. Then, click Move Asset.

Add ALT text and captions

ALT text, or alternative text, provides a text-based description of images for visitors who cannot see them. Captions provide context for the images to sighted and non-sighted visitors. To add ALT text and captions, follow these steps.

From a Tour page

  1. In the page, locate the image file where you want to add ALT text or captions. Click on it. An image options dialog appears.

  2. On the right side of the dialog are three fields: ALT Text, Caption, and Credit. Enter your information in those fields, then click Save.

Renaming a File

From the Media page

  1. Access your Media from the left-hand sidebar.

  4. Enter a new name for the file, then click Rename Asset.

From a Tour page

  3. Click Save in the image options dialog to save your changes.
